A blue sky prairie girl from Saskatoon SK with a guitar, a ukulele & a suitcase full of original songs. From kitchen party singalongs to soulful ballads.  Wonderfully simple melodies wrapped around a good story & served up with distinctive vocals.  Appealing to those who like solid lyrics, folk, traditional country & unique voices.  

Lyn finally took her music out of the bathroom (best acoustics in the house) to the rest of the world with her single song CD The cardinal in the window (2007) to raise money for cancer research; full length albums All Over the Map (2009) & Next Time Around (2013); & single song CD The Veil of Tamar (2014).  New album coming in 2017.  

Lyn has played for audiences from 2 to 2000 - from house concerts & coffee houses to showcases & festivals - engaging her audience with music, storytelling & laughter.

    The third album from country/roots artists McGinnis features seven original songs about love, heartache & making the choice to live an authentic life. From an old school country ballad, to a one on one conversation with the Earth, the album is for those who like country, folk, strong lyrics and unique voices. McGinnis has been Semi-finalist in the Canadian Songwriting Competition, and participated in the Canadian Songwriting Challenge.
