SASKMUSIC JOB POSTING: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 
Full-time, Permanent
Based in: Regina, Saskatchewan

SaskMusic is a member-based, non-profit association that represents, promotes and develops the commercial music industry of Saskatchewan. We work to bring Saskatchewan music to the people of our province, Canada, and the world. We assist those working in music in all genres from all across Saskatchewan, and collaborate with a network of partners across Canada.

The position of Administrative Assistant, under the supervision of the Communications and Operations Manager, handles front desk reception for our Regina office and provides information to our membership and the public; handles general clerical functions; provides administrative support to other staff; assists with travel and speaker bookings; and assists as needed in the delivery of our many programs and services.

This is a full-time position in a fast-paced, challenging, and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is committed to providing excellent customer service, has solid computer skills, and is an organized self-starter who has experience performing traditional clerical functions. We are looking for someone to join our team who shares our passion for the arts and is committed to helping Saskatchewan music thrive.

This is a salaried, 35-hour per week position, however, the flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends would be required.

Duties include:

  • Front desk reception and customer service
  • Website and database updating (training provided)
  • Office filing and organization
  • Management of office systems and procedures
  • Assisting with research, news gathering, preparing reports, and fact-checking
  • Assisting with member calling, promotions and outreach
  • Providing on-site event assistance such as venue setup, registering attendees, picking up supplies, etc.
  • Working with the team as needed to facilitate SaskMusic’s work on a wide variety of projects
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize
  • Strong computer skills
  • The ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work well on one’s own and in a small team environment
  • Initiative and creative problem solving skills
  • Valid drivers’ license
  • Background or interest in music would be an asset
  • Experience working with or volunteering for non-profit organizations would be an asset.

Pay scale: $26,000 annually
