SASKATCHEWAN ARTISTS UP FOR CANADIAN ABORIGINAL MUSIC AWARDS: SaskMusic is pleased to recognize another strong showing for Saskatchewan artists nominated for Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards. The 10th annual CAMAs, which honour the top recording artists and music industry professionals working in Canada’s Aboriginal music scene, will be held in conjunction with the 15th annual Canadian Aboriginal Festival, November 28-30 in Toronto ON.

LOCAL COMPOSER SCORES TOP 10 IN “HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA” CONTEST: Moose Jaw artist/composer Jared Robinson has scored a Top Ten finish in CBC’s “Hockey Night in Canada” anthem search. An impressive feat, considering the broadcaster received nearly 15,000 submissions to the contest.

CONGRATS TO SASKATOON'S SHUYLER JANSEN on his recent performance at the Canadian Music Café during the Toronto International Film Festival®. This year’s Café showcased fifteen Canadian artists to music supervisors, feature film producers and directors from around the world. Jansen was the first Saskatchewan artist selected to perform in one of the coveted Café spots.
