Our Latest Compilation CD
IN TUNE Saskatchewan 2008 was created for the purposes of promoting Saskatchewan artists on a broader level (national and international) throughout the year, and is being distributed to media and industry professionals. It will make various appearances including MIDEM, Canadian Music Week, South by Southwest, the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals, Western Canadian Music Awards and more.
This compilation puts a spotlight on some of the fresh new music that Saskatchewan is producing, while raising awareness of the province’s vibrant music scene.
The artists chosen provide a sample of some of the province’s most promising new artists, as well as established musicians who have recently recorded new material.
IN TUNE Saskatchewan 2008 features 19 Saskatchewan recording artists, each one donating their work to this project. The compilation CD is not available for sale, but will be used as a promotional tool at a variety of events.

WE’RE OFFICIALLY PUMPED to present this collection of Saskatchewan talent in ‘08. Many of the artists on this compilation are already causing ripples across Canada, while others represent fresh new talent that you may not have heard before. Of course, there’s plenty more where this came from.
Maybe it IS the long winters, or the wide open spaces, or our strong sense of place and community that breeds so many talented songwriters, musicians and artists…or maybe it’s just an inherent love of music. In any case, SaskMusic is happy to be the official cheerleader of Saskatchewan music.
SASKMUSIC IS a non-profit association that represents, promotes and develops the music industry of the province of Saskatchewan. Our artists and music professionals hail from across the province, and work in pretty much every genre you can imagine.
