SaskMusic Grants
SaskMusic Grant and Showcase Travel Support Programs Suspended
SaskMusic is in the final stages of a transition from SaskCulture to the Saskatchewan Arts Board. Funding for SaskMusic and our programs will now come through the Arts Board.
Over the past few years SaskMusic has been fortunate to be able to offer several grant programs to the music industry of Saskatchewan, although the demand has always outstripped the available funding. This year, due to this shift over to the Arts Board, SaskMusic will be awaiting a decision on our own levels of funding until sometime over the summer. Unfortunately, until we have that information, we are unable to predict what level of funding we will be able to invest in our fall SaskMusic programming. The SaskMusic Board has thus decided to wait for that decision to come in before we confirm the design and delivery of our programs for our fiscal year running Sept. 2009-Aug. 2010.
Consequently, the SaskMusic Grant deadline previously scheduled for September 15, as well as the Showcase Travel Support Program, are immediately suspended until further notice. The Board is committed to have information on our new fall programming to members as soon we have reviewed the decision from the Arts Board.

All loans are to be paid back with interest; however, a low simple interest rate has been maintained to ensure that people can access this capital.

If a corporation, it must be registered with Saskatchewan Justice, Corporations Branch or under the Canada Business Corporations Act.
