SASKMUSIC INVESTMENT PROGRAM JURORS NEEDED
SaskMusic is seeking volunteers to participate in the upcoming SaskMusic Investment Program juries. Would you like to participate in the process that determines which projects receive funding? see what goes into a successful application? hear some great music from across the Province?

To be a jurist, you must have a solid knowledge of and/or be currently working in the music industry in Saskatchewan. You'll be asked to give us a little more information so you can be accredited as a jurist. If you have applied for funding at today's deadline, or are connected to a project applying for funding at this intake, you cannot apply to be part of this jury.

The Jury will receive their package of submissions to review at the beginning of December and will have time to review and score each submission on their own independently. The group will then meet in mid-December to review and discuss the submissions as a group to determine the list of approved Submissions. SaskMusic will provide a reading fee per-submission to jurists.

For more information, or if you are interested in participating please contact Derek Bachman, Program Manager,
derek@saskmusic.org or 1-800-347-0676.

BRIGHTER FUTURES FOR CHILDREN - VOLUNTEER ARTIST SUBMISSIONS
DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 30
Event is March 28, Casino Regina, Regina

Would you like the opportunity to play in a great venue? Perform at a great event supporting Regina’s young children and their families? The Brighter Futures for Children Benefit has grown to be the largest fundraiser in Regina which supports early childhood programming. This year’s event (2012) raised over $65,000 to support the work of the Regina Early Learning Centre and SCEP Centre. The event has been a special project for presenting sponsors Doug and Gloria Archer of Knight Archer Insurance. As the event's name suggests, by supporting early child programming, we can all play a role in creating brighter futures for vulnerable young children in our community.

During the event, three musical acts perform on stage at the Show Lounge (approximately 50-minute sets). The event also features a number of other activities including a Giant Silent
Auction (in the lobby) and raffles. They ask musicians to donate their time, and can provide the following:
- The opportunity to play in a great venue with publicity on the sign by the Casino Box Office and on their website;
- Publicity on the Brighter Futures event poster and website, and the possibility of local media appearances before the event;
- The opportunity to sell music and merchandise at the event;
- 10 complimentary tickets to the event;
- The opportunity to support a great cause.

If you are a solo artist or a full band and are interested in performing at this fundraiser, please contact Lona Gervais at gervaisla@sasktel.net or 306-537-5758 before November 30.
